Data Center Memory-Power Calculator – An Easy Way to Estimate Your Energy Savings

No one wants to waste money or resources, so energy efficiency, particularly at data centers and in servers, is a growing concern. This concern prompted us to find a way to maximize energy savings at the chip level with 1.5V Aspen Memory® solutions for severs.

You can use this Data Center Memory-Power Calculator to estimate the cost-benefit of using our energy-efficient 1.5V modules in place of 1.8V modules.

Assumptions

Average module density of 1.5GB. Total data center electricity costs composed of 50 percent system power and 50 percent cooling costs. Servers running 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. All modules to be replaced are 1.8V DDR2 registered or fully buffered DIMMs (FBDIMMs) and the conversion model is 1.8V to 1.5V.
